[Music] Hello everyone. In this video, I'd like to talk to you about the most common cause of nightmares, which is also the easiest one to get rid of. First, a few words about nightmares. Nightmares are actually very useful. Even though they're an unpleasant experience to go through, you really need to pause and focus on your nightmares and let all their energy come up so you can understand their message. Often nightmares are a message from our body because at night when we dream, it's a special time for our body to communicate information about its condition to our conscious mind through dreams. When we ignore this information for a while and the problem developing in the body starts to seriously disrupt how our body functions during sleep, that's when the body triggers nightmares to get our attention. The most common cause of nightmares related to how our body functions actually originates in our digestive system. So in this case, it really depends on what we ate or drank the day before. If we go to bed after having a very heavy meal that's hard to digest, well, that tends to cause nightmares. The digestive system can also be overloaded for a long time because we've had slow digestion for years or because we have food intolerances. So, a good way to understand why you have slow digestion or a disturbed digestive system is to keep a dream and reality journal where you write down your dreams and your reality without trying to interpret their meaning at first, but especially noting what you did the day before, what you ate. For example, this is specifically for digestive issues. Once you have eliminated this main physical cause that originates in this area and is actually extremely common, you will get rid of let's say 90% of nightmares. So that's it for this main cause which is relatively easy to eliminate. Another cause that's related to this main one is stress. When your digestive system has more or less significant dysfunctions, it creates a stressful situation in the body. And this stress can also cause nightmares that have a physical origin. Of course, there are many other sources of nightmares both within the body which may not come from the digestive area but from other parts of the body.
